Unable to adjust the tripod of the Smart Construction Rover

Answer

Regardless of how long the tripod has been in use, the button to extend/retract the tripod may become stiff, or the pole may extend and fall by itself when it gets warm.

This symptom occurs when the telescoping button rotates or the pole rotates without your awareness during use or transportation.

Adjusting the tripod will be fixed the problem.

Explanation

Adjust the tripod according to the following procedure

1) Hold down the pole and turn the cap counterclockwise to remove the cap.

2) While pressing the button, pull the pole part downwards to pull out the pole part.

3）When the pole is pulled out, check the tip of the screw in the red circle.

4）If the pole has fallen down by itself, the threaded part is shortened. If the button has become hard, the threaded part is longer.

5) Turn the button clockwise to lengthen the screw. If the button is turned counterclockwise, the screw becomes shorter. Adjust the screw so that it is 6 to 8 mm long. (The longer the screw, the stiffer the extension/retraction.)

6) While pressing the button, insert the pole with the white plastic part (red circle in the image below) toward the bottom until to the top.

7) While holding the pole, turn the cap clockwise to tighten it. After that, readjust the pole while checking its extension and retraction.
